“Determination that the things can and shall be done, and then we shall find the way”
These words of Abraham Lincoln hold true, in an era, where “knowledge has become power”
I take this opportunity to express my views on the importance of MUN at school level.
The UN acts as a medium for countries to sit together and discuss the problem that we, the people of the 21st century are facing. With the aim of allowing the younger generation to understand the importance of diplomacy and cooperation, MUN encourage delegates to collect information related to the topic as well as thinking of solutions to these problems, they can also brush up on their Public speaking skills and most importantly delegates cultivate their leadership skills through leading committees. I am extremely thankful to our principal ma’am for supporting and encouraging us in our endeavours.

Ms. Shagun Chadha

As a way of inducing and instilling democratic politics, diplomacy, and the importance of international relations in students across the globe, Model United Nations has become an integral part of a student’s co-scholastic journey. With its origins in the League of Nations, MUN has evolved to become a widely popular simulation that is conducted in various schools, universities, and academies worldwide. Through this simulation, students learn about diverse worldviews, diplomatic relationships, negotiation tactics, and the art of formal documentation and statements.
Apart from serving as delegates, students also take on the role of administrators, which allows them to make strategic decisions to ensure the success of the event.
I would like to extend my best wishes to Veena Ma'am and all the students participating in their first MUN conference. I hope this experience will help them develop skills that will serve them well in their future endeavors and inspire them to become engaged global citizens who can contribute positively to the society.
